2) Choose a book, movie, show, etc. you have never heard of (or, in a pinch, at least one you know nothing about aside from the name) that has at least ten fics listed.
3) Read only the first page of story summaries.
4) Using what you have learned from these summaries, describe what this book/movie/whatever is about. Be as silly as you like, but ONLY use whatever you just learned...
Leon is a police officer and Count D owns a Petshop (of Horrors!) and they're sooo meant to be together. D sells weird magical animals that act in unexpected ways - for some reason I'm reminded of XXXhoic and the story of the Monkey's paw. Anyway, Leon and D are ssoooo meant for each other! D likes to flirt with and/or hit on Leon, who appears to be the straight man. D probably smirks a lot, but he also has a DARK AND TRAGIC past. Pershop of Horrors is set somewhere where people go to balls and the opera all the time, and it's possible that Leon and D met in a past life or that D is just really, really old. D's Petshop (of Horrors!) is also an interdimensional nexus where characters from many different series like to go to be crossed over.
There are also characters named Aleia, Leon, Chris, Kira, Devin, Monica, and the Honlon sisters. But they aren't important because it's all about the D/Leon.
Ok, and that was so much fun I did another.
RahXephon:
It stars a character named Ayato, who has something called a RahXephon which he pilots. He angsts a lot and has hallucinations on a regular basis. He's fighting these things called Dolems, with the help/hindrance of characters named Makoto, Itsuki, Haruka. Maya, Helena, and Megumi. There are many interesting geometric love figures in this series but the primary one is Ayato and Haruka - also Haruka and Itsuki pre-series. Ayato has a thing for Megumi as well but he eventually - after many dream sequences and much angst - ends up with Haruka. They get married and have children and Ayato doesn't have to pilot RahXephon anymore, which apparently he didn't like to do. Oh, and all of these people are involved in the sinister-sounding Operation Overlord which may or may not have been planned by a group called Foundation Ollin.
You know what? The Peshop of Horrors fics didn't look half bad. Maybe we're overestimating the horribleness of ff.net? Although the RahXephon fics all looked positively awful, so maybe not. So, how'd I do? And speaking of acronyms, what does WAFF stand for? I'm seriously scratching my head here. We Are Fluffy Fun? Widgets Ate Franz Ferdinand?
