So I come back to the world of the internet (FINALLY!!) and what's the first thing I see? YOU ARE WRITING ABOUT F. JAMESON! :D You may or may not remember, but I'm hugely interested in the whole "postmodern" literature and philosophy canon (even if you aren't allowed to call it "postmodern" in academia because it's a BAD word nowadays - at least it is around here... XD). So this entry makes me very happy! I haven't read Badiou yet, but I'm very tempted to now. Not sure I agree on some of his points, but I certainly agree with you that his argument about the corruption of truth-processes seems pointless if there isn't more to it. What is intriguing me most at the moment though is this: YOU ARE BACK AT UNI? WHERE ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU STUDYING? (ohhhh - and I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of Jameson and especially Foucault!). I was cut off from the internet for way too long - the only good thing about this is that a) you get more things done in RL XD and b) there are brilliant new posts on LJ! :D
