sub_dividedSo today I got frustrated by the larger branches that just would. Not. Be cut! and swung the chainsaw a little too wildly. Long story short: I half cut through the tip of my left index finger. Doctor said the stitches should be out in a week and I should regain feeling in a month. I lucked out, basically.
I feel like an educational pamphlet. Did I mention that last night's dreams were full of dismemberingness? That was probably my subconscious trying to remind me that Power Tools Are Dangerous. I'd promise to listen to it more often, except that then I might end up doing odd things like mixing grape-flavored iced-tea or decorating in lime green. Or buying a goldfish. Shut up, I'm sure your subconcious is a pansy, too.
Hedge-trimming accidents are the most common reason for people to go to ER, you know. Actually, most common is people with slight fevers who think they're dying. But hedge-trimmers must rank amoung the top five. I'm so typical it makes we want to barf. Moreover, this was typical for me- I'm the girl who was in a car accident the day after getting her license. The girl who mistakenly paid a total stranger $700 the day she was told to go talk to the home repair guy.
So, I guess the real lesson is Pay Attention to What You're Doing. But I'm sure everyone knew that already.
