Not a Statement (Really)
Jan. 28th, 2005 04:39 pmI changed my mind.

Now that Naruto's gained four inches and Sakura's started dressing more sluttily, they're the cutest couple ever. This represents the sum total of my thoughts on Naruto 245 and OH GOD WHY AM I SO SHALLOW. You do not have to weep for me, I am already weeping for myself.

baka_neko. I swear I died from cute.
Also I have this song stuck in my head, badly. If only I could remember more than the chorus.
keraha was asking about pennames a while ago--specifially, in which situations should you switch to real names? Should you know the person well, or for a certain length of time, or what? My answer is if it's an email with a single recipiant, and part of a lasting correspondence, then you sign with your real name. Otherwise you use the one you're best known by. And you always give your own name before you ask for anyone else's.
But pennames in general vex me. Possibly because I've never had a nick-name, almost every alter-name I can think of is just some premutation of my actual name. And then I think, wow, that defeats the entire purpose, if anyone who sees the one can determine the other. At the same time I'm not exactly being discrete here; a large number of people I know in real life know about this journal and at least some of them actually read it. (Ack.) Not to mention the University webspace thing. (Arg.) My parents are only a matter of time.
Ok, so the point here is that I've changed my profile name to Onyahbear, which is almost my name but not quite. It matches the name the University knows me by and the one that I use for all my official mail. And I am going to regret all of this, deeply, some day--and not necessarily in the very distant future either.
EDIT: changed back. it was fun while it lasted, which was not very long.
