something i'll regret in the morning.
Apr. 6th, 2005 08:35 pmPicked classes for next semester today. I'll know whether or not I got the physics fellowship on Friday. The suspense is killing me.
In the meantime I'm re-reading the Hunter x Hunter manga for, ummm, reasearch purposes. It isn't that Killua and Gon's dynamic is hard to pin down: light-hearted rivalry, boys being boys, occasional heavily suggestive dialogue along the lines of "you are my happiness" (internal, Killua) or "because it is Killua, my very best friend" (external, Gon, Killua says stop being so embarrasing!). And then Gon is unreasonablely trusting, and Killua calls Gon an idiot, and they both go out for ice cream/get themselves beaten up afterward. But writing the characters is hard, especially Gon who I still don't understand as he is basically a freec of nature (ahaha lame pun sorry).
My problem with Gon is: sometimes he gives up, and sometimes he never, ever, ever gives up. Which is it? (Also, he is completely insane. No sane person says "no matter what" and means it.)
(edit) disorientedblue, manga vs anime. From a comment thread on the KilluaGon 04 entry, deleted there and saved here because I'm neurotic. It's more organized this way? *is shot* Don't bother downloading, there's nothing exciting about it.
