Another crack pairing meme XD

sub_dividedThe instructions were to pair up all the characters in my icons in alphabetical order, but I felt that was boring so I wrote the names down on pieces of paper and drew lots instead.
And wrote fic, because it's been that kind of day.
Katara (from Avatar; the girl on the left)/ 
Ishida (from Bleach)
“Katara, are you finished mending my pants yet?”
“Katara, is dinner ready yet?”
“Katara, this shirt is still dirty!”
Tired of being everyone’s mother, Katara elopes with the first man she finds who does housework.
Kurapkia (from Hunter x Hunter)/
Jin (from Samurai Champloo; the one on the right)
It was very nearly an ideal partnership. During the day Jin was courteous, civilized, an astute and knowledgeable conversationalist.
At night he attracted questionable company. Very generous, Jin; always willing to share.
“How many of you like chains? Raise your hands.”
Orochimaru (from Naruto)/ Mugen (from Samurai Champloo; the one on the left)
“Let me get this straight: you guys are picking a fight with every single other ninja village and a powerful ninja organization, and if I help you you’ll make me stronger than I’ve ever dreamed?”
Orochimaru leered. “Of course.”
Mugen considered. “Can I just do the fighting lots of ninja part?”
Gon (from Hunter x Hunter; the kid in green)/Sokka (from Avatar; the boy on the right)
He was the first person to laugh at the two-firebenders-one-earthbender-and-a-penguin-walk-into-a-bar joke. Sokka was in love.
Johann (from Monster; the one on the right)/
Edward (from Full Metal Alchemist)
No matter how hard he tried to stay away, Ed always found himself coming back to the man who’d crossed the boundaries of being human. He told himself it was because he needed to know what "human" was.
Johann knew the truth.

Gin smiled. Okay, so he was already smiling, but he smiled wider.
"Does one letter really make that much difference?"
"YES."
Light (from Death Note)/
Elvis Presely (from Mississippi)
One day he was approached by an insignificant servant; an under-chef named Opus (or so his Minister of Affairs informed him).
“If you are indeed a God, oh great one, should not you have powers over life as well as death?”
Kira laughed the laugh of a human whose Death Note was ten years in his possession, and the next day held an anniversary concert for the President of Russia, who politely didn’t mention that the real Elvis had had a Southern accent (not to mention better hips).

Light knew this “god-of-the-new-world” bit was getting old when even the Sacred Elvis Impersonators failed to amuse him.
Muraki (from Yami no Matsuei)
Is alone. As he should be. (OT: some characters cross a line that prevents me from forgiving them even when the author clearly wants me to. Muraki does, Akutsu (fom Prince of Tennis) does. Hirumi (from Eyeshield 21) doesn't, even though he is the devil incarnate. Maybe because everything he does is comedic, whereas we are asked to take Akutsu and Muraki seriously and I have trouble switching mental gears.)
YAY CRACK. I was starting to worry that maybe I didn't have a sense of humor.
One more meme before I head back to Michigan this Friday (with no internet access from then until Sept. 7th)!
