Preliminay Fanthology Survey

team7 and I were talking about the revival of fanthology as a themed recs comm. The way it would work is: there is a new theme every two weeks, which is announced two weeks in advance. During that time, group members post fanfiction reccomendations that somehow fit the theme. All fandoms welcome.

I thought this could also work on an A side/B side system, where the themes for the first half of each month are perfectly respectable and/or have literary merit, while the themes for the second half of each month are the opposite. High school au and mpreg and vampirefic so on, fics whose ff.net summaries are wearing out your scroll button. Because there are always exceptions to badfic rules, right?

Now that there are these themes, I need your help remembering a couple fics.

Fandom: Hikaru no Go
Theme: supernatural/historical AU
issen4 recced this. Hikaru and Akira are shopping for souvenirs when Hikaru is magically transported to Heien-era Japan, where he meets Sai's father or uncle. Sai is already dead. Hikaru plays Go with the Emperor's favorite (Sai's murderer) and eventually clears Sai's name. At the end of the story he is transported back to present-day Japan, where he finds that history has changed for the better.

Fandom: Gundam Wing
Theme: fairytale
Duo is Little Red Riding Hood and Heero is the Huntsman.

Fandom: Yami no Matsuei
Theme: High School AU**
On ff.net. The author's original language is Czech? A very long fic. Hisoka enrolls at a co-ed boarding school where he and Tsuzuki are investigating a spate of recent mysterious deaths (Tsuzuki teaches Japanese History and is good at it 'cuz he was there). There are four or five suspects, all fellow students. While undercover, Hisoka becomes friends with Sakura, a green-eyed psychokinetic who has family problems and always wears gloves. Tsuzuki's jealousy makes him vulnerable to possession by the malevolent force they've been tracking.

Fandom: Naruto
Theme: blanket fic
On ff.net. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi are on a mission in Snow Country. Naruto remarks that only his customary outfit is warm enough in this weather (for some reason no one has thought to change into new clothes). Team 7 seven scales a mountain and then decides to rest at the deserted cabin at the top. Somehow a blanket is involved. SasuNaru.

Notes:
*Blanket fic does not have to include a blanket, and Trapped in an Elevator fic does not have to include an elevator. At least not according to me. The first comes from "Two Characters, Raging Snowstorm, One Blanket" and covers any situation where two normally antagonistic characters are forced to cooperate for their continued survival!!! The second is similar, but different: two characters are forced to share the same space for a length of time. I Can't Believe This Jerk is My New Roomate falls into this category. I Can't Believe My Rich Eccentric Uncle is Paying Me to Babysit That Jerk, but if I Don't My Family Will Starve could fall under either category, depending on what the focus is.

**There is an entire sub-category of Yami no Matsuei fics where Hisoka goes undercover as a high school student. That's not surprising, since Yami no Matsuei does Canon High School AU, not just once but three times (Devil's Trill, St. Michael's, Kyoto Arcs). Yami no Matsuei also has:
