keraha's idea, for a series of drabbles whose first lines come from the previous person's last line, sounds really cool. Like drabble-tag! I'd love to do something like that.

Anyway, here's some first-line drabbles I've done (since I don't write enough to be able to afford not to link to them all, even if they aren't very good):

So I just finished watching FMA 51 - IN FRENCH! Still waiting for the English one to finish. Somehow I doubt this is what the University had in mind when it told me I needed at least forth-semester proficiency in a foreign language, no matter how I felt about it. 'Cuz yeah, French and I, we really don't get along.

Yes, and atimson suggested we "pick a song (score or other orchestral music probably works best, but "normal" music might work too), and try to write a short story or part of a larger work to accompany it," but recent fst shenanigans aside I've never been particularly associative so I just set all my music to "random" instead.

And got Heaven is Wide by Garbage and went EEEP~ I'M SCARED. (Eh... what the heck. FREE MUSIC DOWNLOAD!) I'm doing it - or, not exactly it, but something kinda related to the following paraphrase:

As far from God as Heaven is wide,
Further from Hell than devils can fly,
Take your conscience with you when you fall,
But your work stays with me after you've gone.

Which will basically be a much longer version of this here drabble. Self-theft yeah~! I'm at 750 words right now and I'm gonna double that if it kills me.

But not tonight! Because tonight there is a Black-Out Party to attend and, anyway, I've got FRENCH work to do *sign of the devil*.

God, I hate Karma. Like, I really, really despise it and everything it stands for. Bunch of smug self-righteous bastards telling everyone else they have stuff because they deserve it and if you don't it's because you don't. In a more general sense I guess I dislike Equivalent Exchange as well since it's basically the same thing, only all within one lifetime so you can prove it's wrong.

And now that FMA is winding down, anyone know where I can download Matantei Loki Ragnarok? Anime or manga (but preferably manga). Figured since I've got that much more free time, I might as well give it a shot. Or Bleach, Bleach is coming out soon. (Obviously shonen owns my soul right now. Should I be frightened?)

I (briefly) got into a discussion with a just-published author here about the "Defense of Fanficiton" post here which was, yes, in response to stevekelner whom everyone seems to be talking about these days. Man, that atimson really sounds like he knows what he's talking about, doesn't he? But he is just a struggling and un-published sophmore college student, like me except that he actually does want to write proffessionally some day. So, remember that you are under no obligation to take him seriously. (I kid, Andrew, really I do. You are one smart cookie.)

Everything I've written recently: it's worse, but I've liked it better. You don't have to tell me whether that's true or not, because I'm not actually asking for sympathy here. What I want to know is, isn't that a contradiction? To think something's better and, at the same time, worse?
