Death Note Fic - Legalism
Apr. 3rd, 2005 08:14 pmI have this pile of completed fic outlines. It sits on the left side of my desk, mocking me--every fic in that pile has a beginning middle and end, and many have dialogue or even whole prose paragraphs filled in, but writing them and writing an actual story are two completely different processes. Anyway I was looking through them and I came across this Death Note outline and was just AJHLGSD;LKSD WHY HAVEN'T I WRITTEN THIS YET?
Bet you can guess how this story ends.
Title: Legalism
Summary: Light character analysis disguised as ideological debate.
Story behind the story: I thought it would be really neat if Light was selected for jury duty, did research, found out that Japan hasn't had juries since 1943.
( Idea dump. Takes place after chapter 59. )
New thing: fic sources. Eh, although most of the time I forget where things came from.
Article about the new Japanese legal system to be instituted in 2009 (page 7)
Article about strategy in chess and fencing.
